Thursday Morning Update

November 29, 2007

11/28/07 at 6:52 pm — SLCFD responded to a car vs. motorcycle on SLW Blvd (on the overpass of I-95).  Flew a male, in his early 30s, to a southern trauma center in serious condition.  The man was the drive of the motorcycle, he was wearing a helmet.  PSLPD was also on the scene.   

11/28/07 at 11:16 p.m. — SLCFD responded to an ATV accident at SE Pocatella Rd and SE Morningside in PSL.  Flew a female, in her early 20s, to a southern trauma center in serious condition.   

11/29/07 at 7:34 a.m.– SLCFD responded to a bleed on the 500 block of N 27th.  A male in his early 40s had been seriously cut while cleaning a fish tank.  He was flown to a northern trauma center in stable condition.

Child Hit on Rosser

November 28, 2007

10/28/07 at 2:41 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a child hit by a car on Rosser (near Penrose) in PSL.  The boy was flown by Air Rescue to a southern trauma center, condition unknown.  PSLPD was also on scene.

Wednesday Noon Update

November 28, 2007

11/28/07 at 11:42 — SLCFD responded to a vehicle accident on US 1 south of Virginia (2700 block).  Transporting by air one male (elderly) to a northern trauma center.  Incident is in process, will update. 

UPDATE — patient (male in his 70s) was taken to local hospital in critical condition.  FPPD was also on the scene.  (12:56 p.m.)     

Also, SLCFD responded to a fall, Bay Colony (right on Martin County line by the Treasure Coast Mall).  Male in his mid 40s fell.  Transporting patient by air (Martin County Life Star).  Incident in process, will update. 

UPDATE — Patient was flown by Life Star to a southern trauma center in stable condition.   (posted 1:05 p.m.)


Wednesday Morning Update

November 28, 2007

11/28/07 at 5:02 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a vehicle accident at the 118 MM of I-95 SB (at Gatlin Blvd.)  A semi had rolled over with a male trapped in the cab.  It took the SLCFD over an hour to free the man.  The man, in his mid-40s, was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.  Another car was involved, but no injuries in that vehicle.  FHP was also on the scene.

Monday Morning Update

November 26, 2007

11/25/07 at 6:30 p.m. — SLCFD was called to a residential fire on the 2000 block of SW Aguero St., PSL.  Garage fire with smoke damage throughout the house.  No injuries.  Displaced a couple with a child.  Fire is under investigation.

Wednesday Morning Update

11/20/07 at 3 p.m. — Yesterday afternoon the SLCFD responded to 10102 S Ocean, Hutchinson Island for a bomb.  The bomb was found by a construction worker.  SLCSO was on scene.  SLCFD was there to assist SLCSO.

Tuesday Morning Update

November 20, 2007

11/20/07 at 1:25 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a male with gunshot wounds in the 1000 block of N. 21st Street, Ft. P.  Air Rescue flew the male, in his late 30’s, to a northern trauma center in critical condition.  FPPD was also on the scene.

Monday Morning Accidents on I95

November 19, 2007

11/19/07 at 10:30 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a series of accidents on I-95. 

One involved a semi and 2 passenger vehicles at the 126 MM of I-95 NB.  The Fire District transported 2 males, 1 female, and 1 child to a local hospital from this accident.  None of the injuries were critical.  FHP and SLCSO were also on the scene.   

Another accident involved a single vehicle, in the same area.  One male was transported with minor injuries. 

A third accident occurred just south of the 126 MM, involving a car and a pick-up truck.  The Fire District transported one female, by ground, to a local hospital.  Her injuries were not critical.  SLCSO was also on the scene.
