Wednesday Morning Update

2/26/08 at 9:23 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a single-family house fire on the 300 block of S 18th in Ft. Pierce.  Five people had evacuated the house by the time firefighters arrived.  On person, a female in her 40s, was treated for smoke inhalation and transported to a local hospital.  Cause of fire is under investigation.

Tuesday Morning Update

2/26/08 at 1 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a drowning at 1 South Beach Jetty on Hutchinson Island.  Transported a male in his 20s to a local hospital.  FPPD was also on the scene.  (The location was behind the Mariner Hotel.)

2/25/08 at 8:20 a.m. — SLCFD responding to an accident at the 136 MM of the Turnpike (in Martin County). Dispatch reports NB lanes closed. Will update as I get more information.

Thursday Morning Update

February 21, 2008

2/20/08 at 7:43 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a gunshot wound on the 300 block of South 29th in Ft. Pierce (Citrus and 29th St.).  Flew a male in his 20s to a northern trauma center in critical condition.  The man had suffered a gunshot wound to his torso.  FPPD was also on the scene. 

2/20/08 at 7:28 p.m. — SLCFD responded to an overdose on the 100 block of Serenata Court.  The patient, a male in his 20s, was ground transported to a local hospital.  While being transported the patient became violent and damaged the interior of the rescue truck (near US1 and Prima Vista).  SLCSO was called to assist and a second rescue truck was called to complete the transport.
