4/29/08 at 8:30 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a rollover accident at the 136 MM of I-95. Transported by air two individuals, ground transported to others. Flew one teen male to a northern trauma center, he had been ejected from the vehicle. Flew one pregnant female, in her 20s, to a southern trauma center. Ground transported another male teenager and a child to a local hospital. FHP and SLCSO were on scene.
4/30/08 at 6:49 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a brush fire on the 3000 block of Oleander, Ft. Pierce. Once crews arrived they found a tent on fire and a body. Fire was limited to the tent area. SLCSO was on scene.

4/28/08 at 2:30 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a fire at 4075 Virginia Ave., Ft. Pierce. The fire started with an electrical short in the air conditioning unit, spread to mulch and then a shed next to the main structure. It caused $20-30,000 in damage. Fire damage was contained to approximately 25% of the main building. (Pictures from the fire are on the SLCFD website… home page, scroll down below MDA information.)
4/28/08 at 5:30 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a vehicle rollover at Todd and Airoso, Port St. Lucie. Ground transported one female, in her 40s, with minor injuries to a local hospital.

4/27/08 at 10 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a gunshot wound at the intersection of 29th and Avenue L in Ft. Pierce. Flew a male in his early 20s to northern trauma center in critical condition. FPPD was on the scene.

4/26/08 at 7:10 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a stabbing on the 900 block of SW Whittier Terrace, PSL. Flew a male to a southern trauma center. PSLPD was also on scene.
4/26/08 at 8:22 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a vehicle accident on I-95 south of Midway. Flew a female in her 40 st a southern trauma center in serious condition. FHP and SLCSO were also on scene.
4/26/08 at 11:30 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a vehicle accident/car fire at the 138 MM of the Turnpike. One fatality, no other injuries. FHP and SLCSO were also on scene.

4/25/08 a.m. — Nothing to report from last night or this morning.
NOTE — MDA Boot Drive starts today.
For the next three weekends, SLCFD firefighters will be at intersections collecting money for MDA.

4/22/08 at 1:48 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a two-vehicle accident at Lennard and Mariposa, PSL. Ground transported two males (both 25-35 years old) to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. PSLPD was on scene.

4/18/08 at 2:47 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a pick-up truck hitting the back of a semi at Okeechobee Rd and Crossroads Parkway, Ft. Pierce. A male in his 30s was flown to a northern trauma center in satisfactory condition. The patient was the drive of the pick-up truck. No other injuries.

UPDATE — Teenage male flown to a southern trauma center in serious condition. He was driving a motorcyle and hit an SUV. No helmet. (update 3:23 p.m.)
4/17/08 at 2:27 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a motorcycle vs. pick-up truck at Seagrape and Bartow. A trauma alert was issued and we will be flying one patient out. I will update when I am able to talk to someone on scene.
