5/6/08 at 1:14 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a residential fire on the 4100 block of Bear Creek Court, Ft. Pierce. Fire was called under control at 1:42 p.m. The home was 85% destroyed. When the first crews arrived on scene they found flames in the living room, kitchen and back office area (all in the rear of the home). A male resident, who lived alone, escaped the house. The family dog perished. No other injuries and no other structures were threatened. Three engines, 2 rescue trucks, 1 tanker and a total of 16 firefighters responded. SLCSO was also on the scene.
