Tuesday Morning Update

January 27, 2009

UPDATE on accident on Ocean Drive — An SUV hit a guard rail, which in turn hit a pedestrian.  The pedestrian, a male in his mid 60s, was flown to a local trauma center, but was stable throughout the event.  SLCSO was on the scene.  (posted 9:20 a.m.) 

 

At 7:32 a.m. SLCFD responded to a vehicle accident on the 3500 block of South Ocean Drive. Early information is one vehicle involved, one patient. Will update as more information becomes available.

Monday Morning Update

January 26, 2009

1/26/09 a.m. — Nothing to report from last night or this morning. 

1/24 at 11 pm — SLCFD called to a gunshot wound at 25th and Avenue I in Ft. Pierce.  A male, in his early teens, was flown to a southern trauma center in critical condition.  FPPD and SLCSO were also on the scene

1/25 at 2:18 a.m. — SLCFD responded to an SUV rollover on US 1 at the Indian River County line.  A female, in her 30s, was flown to a northern trauma center in serious condition.  One other person was ground transported to a local hospital.  All other passengers declined medical treatment.  SLCSO was also on the scene.

Vehicle Rollover on Turnpike

January 23, 2009

UPDATE — Male, in his 40s, was flown to a southern trauma center in serious condition.  He was ejected from the mid-size van he was driving.  No other occupants of the van; no other vehicles involved.   FHP was on the scene.   (posted 11:18 a.m.) 

1/23/09 at 10 a.m. — SLCFD was called to a vehicle rollover at the 141 / 142 MM of the Turnpike, NB.  Air Rescue is currently flying one patient who was ejected from the vehicle.  No other information at this time.  Will update as more information becomes available.

1/21/09 at 4:45 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a stabbing on the 2000 block of SE Benedictine St, PSL.  A male was found fatally stabbed at the scene.  PSLPD was on scene.

Tuesday Morning Update

January 20, 2009

1/19/09 at 7:45 p.m. — SLCFD was called to a single vehicle accident at the 141 MM of the Turnpike, SB.  The car had hit a guardrail and rolled, just south of the service plaza.  One male, in his early 50s, was flown to a southern trauma center in stable condition.  His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.  Two other passengers in the car were ground transported to a local hospital.
