Thursday Morning Update
March 26, 20093/25/09 at 7:06 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a fall on the 2600 block of Old Dixie Hwy, Ft. Pierce. A female, in her 50s, had fallen off a motorized bicycle. She was flown to a northern trauma center in serious condition. SLCSO was also on the scene. No others involved in the accident.
3/25/09 — SLCFD personnel was released from the Martin County brushfire at approximately 6:30 p.m.

March 25, 20093/25/09 at 1:13 p.m. — SLCFD sent 1 tanker, 1 brush truck, and a battalion chief to assist Martin County in their RIO fire.

Yesterday at 2 p.m., SLCFD responded to a house fire on Penrose. The fire caused $80-100,000 in damage. The cause is undetermined at this time.

Monday Morning Update
March 23, 20093/22/09 at 6:40 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a commercial fire at 2515 Okeechobee Road, Ft. Pierce. The business, Votino’s Restaurant, was 50% involved when the first crews arrived. The business is closed on Sundays and no one was in the building at the time of the fire. The fire was called under control at 7:17 p.m. Fire damage was in the dining area of the business, and the kitchen and office suffered smoke damage. The building was a single story log cabin. No injuries and no other structures were damaged. The fire is believed to be accidental. Fire investigation is still ongoing.

Friday Morning Update
March 20, 20093/19/09 at 11:12 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a motorcycle accident on the 2400 block of SE Pascal Ave., PSL. A male, in his early 20s, was flown to a southern trauma center. No other vehicles involved, no other people involved. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet. PSLPD was also on the scene.
KBDI is 650 — which is still high.

Thursday Morning Update
March 19, 20093/18/09 at 11:25 p.m. — SLCFD Special Operations responded to a fuel spill at the 142 MM of the Turnpike NB. Approximately 75 gallons of fuel had spilled from a cargo truck after an accident. No injuries. Special Operations crews were on the scene until 1:20 a.m. FHP was also on the scene.
