08/30/2009 Fire District crews responded to a structure fire in the 2300 blk of Addison Street in Port Saint Lucie. Fire Crews were dispatched at03:33 hrs and the fire was under control at 03:53 hrs. The home sustained approximately $40,000.00 in fire damage. Red Cross was call to assist the occupant and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire has been determine to be a faulty electrical fixture. Capt. Derek Foxx

Fire on Oliva in PSL
August 27, 2009Update @ 04:20pm Adult female patient was transported by ground unit to local hospital in fair condition. Home sustained approximatly 50 % fire damage. State Fire Marshal is assisting Fire District Investigator’s. Fire is under investigation at this time.
8/27/09 at 2:46 pm — SLCFD is on the scene of a structure fire at 5 Oliva in Port St. Lucie. It is reportedly a home, smoke and flames visible. One patient who was burned is being treated on scene. Will update when more information becomes available.

Accident involves student
August 24, 2009UPDATE — This was not a hit and run as originally reported. Sorry for the confusion. (updated 9:12 a.m.)
8/24/09 at 6:29 a.m. — SLCFD responded to a student hit by a car at Bayshore and Rainbow, PSL. The teenage girl was waiting for a schoolbus, and was not seriously hurt. Rescue trucks were called off before they arrived at the scene.

Friday Morning Update
August 21, 20098/20/09 at 10:32 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a gunshot wound on the 600 block of N 21st St., Ft. Pierce. A teenage male was ground transported to a local provisional trauma center in stable but serious condition. FPPD was also on the scene.

Accident at 125 MM of I95
August 20, 2009UPDATE — A total of 13 patients, and out of that 13 – 8 were transported. All 8 patients were ground transported approximately 30 minutes after SLCFD arrived on scene. FHP was also on scene. (posted 3:09 p.m.)
UPDATE — 5 vehicles involved, 2 traumas going by ground, 8 patients total will be transported. SLCFD has 5 rescue trucks on scene. (posted 1:41 p.m.)
8/20/09 at 1:10 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a multi-vehicle accident at the 125 MM of I-95, just south of Midway, in the SB lane. Five vehicles, at least one trauma alert by ground to local provisional trauma center. Will update as more information becomes available.
