Vehicle Accident at 120 MM of I-95

October 29, 2009

UPDATE on vehicle accident — Ground transported a male, in his late 50s, to a local provisional trauma center in serious condition.  He was the driver (and only person in a) Nissan Ultima that was rear-ended by a tractor trailer.  The truck driver was not injured.  FHP is on the scene.  According the rescue workers the back half of the car was pushed up to the front seat area.  (posted 2:48 p.m.) 

10/29/09 — SLCFD is responding to a vehicle accident — tractor trailer vs. passenger car — at the 120 MM of I-95, just north of Crosstown Parkway.  They are going to transport one trauma patient by ground to a local provisional trauma center.

SLCFD is also responding to a pediatric call on the 1300 block of O’Donnell Lane in PSL.  Air Rescue will be taking the patient.

Wednesday Morning Update

10/27/09 at 8 p.m. — SLCFD responded to an SUV vs. bike accident at S 22nd Street and Orange Avenue, Ft. Pierce.  A male, in his 40s, was ground transported to a local provisional trauma center in critical condition.   No other injuries.

Tuesday Morning Update

October 27, 2009

10/26/09 at 6:13 p.m. – SLCFD responded to a vehicle accident which had turned into an altercation at Hartman Rd. and Orange Ave., Ft. Pierce.  Three women, all in their 20s, were checked out at the scene but all refused treatment.  FPPD was also on the scene.

Sunday Afternoon Accident on Ocean Drive

October 26, 2009

10/25/09  at 3:16 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a vehicle accident at 2601 S. Ocean Drive.  A male, in his late 40s, was flown to a local provisional trauma center in serious condition.  The man was the only one in the car, which hit a telephone pole and went into nearby woods.  No other vehicles were involved, no other injuries.  SLCSO was also on the scene.

Saturday Evening Fatality on Okeechobee Rd.

October 25, 2009

10/24/09 at 9:41 p.m. — SLCFD responded to an incident on Okeechobee Road approximately 2 1/2 miles west of the Turnpike.  Two men had been fighting on the road and were hit by a vehicle.  One male, in his mid-20s, died at the scene.  Another male, in his early 20s, was flown to a local trauma center with life-threatening injuries.  Both SLCSO and FHP were at the scene.

Friday Morning Update

10/22/09 at 4:49 p.m. — SLCFD responded to a fire at 601 South 10th Street, Ft. Pierce.  The kitchen fire was quickly put out.  One person was treated for respiratory problems at the scene.
